gm xu wenzhi, vice gm xiao huantian and other members of the management team went out of their way to visit xiangde employees at yanjiao after attending to duties in beijing on september 25, 2015, two days before the mid-autumn festival. mr. xu extended greetings to the xiangde team and expressed his expectations towards the project on 2015 mid-autumn and employee birthday celebration & dumpling making event.
mid-autumn festival is an important occasion for family reunion; festivals without the company of families are viewed with woe in traditional chinese culture, as nicely expressed by the line “all alone in a foreign land, i am twice as homesick on this day”. to make employees literally “feel at home”, xiangde organised the celebration. all employees were involved: voting on the filling by wechat group and contributing cookware and preparing ingredients. then came the most exciting part: making dumplings with each contributing his/her “expertise” in chopping, making wrappers or making dumplings. the office was filled with chopping sounds and laughter.
